Row guidance
from Headsight
High accuracy row-crop autosteer control systems for corn harvesting
This row guidance system utilizes mechanical sensing wands which feel the stalks and integrate with an existing steering devices to guide the combine down the row. Headsight row guidance systems are not tied to GPS; therefore, they can be installed on any combine with a supported steering valve or motor.
Benefits of Row Guidance
- Feels 2 rows per sensor (unlike OEM systems which only feel 1)
- Less Grain Loss. Any time a stalk gets pulled sideways, there is a risk of ears getting flung around and increasing kernel loss. Because this system is always keeping the stalk running down the center of the row, there is less grain loss.
- Does not rely on GPS. No more having to constantly nudge the steering system to stay running straight down the rows. The system feels its way through the corn constantly adjusting for any change.
- Reduces Operator Fatigue
- Improves Overall Feeding
Sensor Features
- Flexible poly sensing wands
- Spring trip for backing up
- Tilt compensation for operation on slopes
- Auto engage - Turns the system on or off based on feederhouse height so your hand doesn't leave the hydro handle.
- Ties into steering wheel, seat switch and combine speed for safety
- Adjustable row width
