What is FurrowForce?

FurrowForce is a two-stage closing system designed to adapt to different planting conditions. It helps to close the seed furrow properly and firm the soil, ensuring your crops get the best start possible.

How It Works

  1. First Stage: Notched Wheels
    • Closes the furrow from the bottom up.
    • Breaks up air pockets and works well even in tough no-till conditions.
  2. Second Stage: Stitch Wheels
    • Firms the soil to maintain moisture.
    • Helps prevent soil from drying out, especially behind spring tillage.

Customize Your FurrowForce

  • Manual Control: Adjust air pressure manually with an air compressor and controller.
  • Sensing & Manual Adjustment: Add load cells and use a 20|20 monitor to see real-time data and make manual adjustments.
  • Automated Control: Add load cells and a 20|20 monitor to automatically adjust the pressure for each row, ensuring optimal performance.

  • Curved Notch Wheel: Versatile for various conditions.
  • Smooth Wheel: Best for shallow planting and loose soils.
  • Dimple Wheel: Effective in wet, no-till clays and heavy cover crops.

ON OUR FARM

In 2020, we conducted an on-farm trial in 7 fields over 108 acres.  The FurrowForce system beat out our Furrow Cruisers by 5.1 bu/acre on average.  the tests ranged from 3-9 bu/acre advantage. What really stood out about this test is that on every single comparison we did, the FurrowForce did not lose one time which we don't often see in product testing like this.
